7-Zip provides a full-featured command-line version (7z.exe / 7za) that supports all archive operations: create, extract, list, test, and update.

The CLI is ideal for batch processing, scheduled backups, build scripts, and server automation where a GUI is unavailable.

It supports exit codes for error handling and can be integrated into PowerShell, Bash, Python, and other scripting environments.
